Check the MDH list of Radon Professionals
Radon Defense Systems is on the Minnesota Department of Health’s (MDH) list of radon professionals. The MDH recommends that only radon professionals on the MDH list should be hired to do radon mitigation, as these contractors are currently certified as a radon mitigation professionals by NRPP, NRSB or equivalent, have attended two MDH radon training’s per year, and have reported their work to MDH quarterly.
Properly designing and installing a radon mitigation system is a professional level activity
Be aware of uncertified installers and inexpensive mitigation rates (less than $1,000). Price quotes promising really low installation rates are often too good to be true and leave the consumer with sub-standard workmanship and materials and a radon system that may not be working.
Be certain the person doing the work on your house is certified to do the work
